By downloading, installing, or using Keto Lab ("App," "we," "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Keto Lab.
Keto Lab is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. All content is for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any diet, exercise, or wellness program.
The App is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of information provided by this App.
If you have a medical condition including but not limited to diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, cardiovascular disease, eating disorders, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your physician before using this App.
We are not responsible for adverse effects resulting from starting a ketogenic diet, including but not limited to electrolyte imbalances, dehydration, fatigue, headaches, or symptoms commonly known as "keto flu." These effects are common during dietary adaptation and do not represent a malfunction of the App.
The ketogenic diet involves significant dietary changes that may not be appropriate for all individuals. By using the App, you voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with following any dietary program tracked through the App. Individual results vary and are not guaranteed.
You are solely responsible for any decisions you make regarding your diet and health. The App tracks what you choose to log — it does not prescribe, recommend, or validate any specific dietary choices as safe or appropriate for your individual health circumstances.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By creating an account, you confirm you are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.
AI features are experimental tools, not a substitute for professional judgment. Keto Lab uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to analyze food photos and provide nutritional estimates. AI systems can and do make errors, including misidentifying ingredients, incorrectly estimating portion sizes, and failing to detect allergens.
By using AI-powered features, you specifically acknowledge and agree that:
Keto Lab expressly disclaims all liability for harm, injury, allergic reactions, or any adverse health outcomes resulting from reliance on AI-generated food analysis or nutritional information.
Keto Lab's food database contains nutritional information from third-party sources and user contributions. This data has not been independently verified and may contain inaccuracies, errors, or omissions. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any nutritional information.
You are solely responsible for verifying nutritional values, knowing your food allergies, and confirming the contents of any food you consume. We explicitly disclaim all responsibility with respect to food safety, allergens, dietary restrictions, and contraindications with medications.
The App allows you to post recipes, photos, and other content ("User Content"). You are solely responsible for your User Content. Community recipes and content have not been reviewed or verified by Keto Lab for nutritional accuracy, food safety, allergens, or suitability. You assume all risk associated with reliance on content from other users.
You grant Keto Lab a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating the App. You may delete your content at any time.
You may not post content that is illegal, harmful, misleading, or violates any third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any content at our discretion.
Keto Lab offers auto-renewing subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree that:
Cancelling a subscription stops automatic renewal but does not generate a prorated refund for the remaining period. Access to Pro features will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.
Subscription prices may change with reasonable notice. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google per their respective refund policies.
Any body composition metrics displayed in the App (including BMI, estimated body fat percentage, or muscle mass) are mathematical estimates based on standard formulas and the data you enter. These estimates may not be accurate for athletes, individuals with certain medical conditions, or specific body types. They are not a substitute for clinical body composition assessment by a qualified healthcare professional.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Keto Lab, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including damages for loss of profits, data, health, bodily injury, or any other losses arising from your use of the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
